Overview of Mobility Management

Mobility management is an overarching approach to transportation that is focused on individual customer travel needs rather than a “one size fits all” solution. It improves awareness of transportation options and reduces customer confusion, expands travel options and access for consumers, and provides more cost-effective and efficient service delivery through improved coordination and partnerships. Travel training is one example of a mobility management strategy. Other strategies include individualized transportation information and trip planning services.

This website was re-designed in 2014 as part of the Alameda CTC’s Mobility Management initiative. The effort was partially funded by the Alameda County Measure B transportation sales tax passed by voters in 2000, and a federal New Freedom grant awarded by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). This website was developed in parallel with a searchable on-line transportation inventory hosted by the Alameda County 211 (managed by Eden I&R).
