Clipper® is an electronic transit card that can be used on most transit services in the Bay Area (WHEELS and Union City Transit do not yet accept Clipper). It keeps track of transit passes, discount tickets, and ride books as well as cash value. Your Clipper card will apply all fares, discounts, and transfer rules that are appropriate for you.
Special cards are available to people with disabilities, seniors, and youth and allow cardholders to pay discounted fares on most public transit services throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Discounts vary by agency. Information on each type of card is provided below.
All other adults can get a standard Clipper Card for a small fee. To order a card click HERE (available at https://www.clippercard.com/ClipperWeb/getTranslinkOrderCard.do).
