Hayward Operated Paratransit offers paratransit and related services to qualified residents who are:

70 years or older

OR

18 years or older with a certified disability and unable to drive or use public transportation

AND

Live within the service area (Hayward, the unincorporated areas of San Leandro, Castro Valley, San Lorenzo, Ashland, Cherryland, and Fairview)

Same-Day Program

Transportation Network Companies (Lyft/Uber) subsidized rides available to qualified residents.

Meals on Wheels

Hayward also provides funding for SOS Meals on Wheels to provide nutritionally balanced meals to homebound seniors residing in the Hayward service area.

Means-Based Fare Program

Qualified residents, who meet income eligibility criteria, are offered some services at either a reduced cost or at no cost.
